Dover Dog Howloween, a community celebration and costume parade for dogs and their people recently donated $1,921.71 as part of their fundraising effort to support Pope Memorial Humane Society (PMHS), formerly Cocheco Valley Humane Society. The 1st annual celebration, which took place in October at Cocheco Mill Courtyard in downtown Dover, attracted more than 500 dog owners from Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
“Funds raised from the event will go directly towards care of the animals here at the shelter,” said Melanie Burger, Marketing Director at PMHS. “That might include food, bedding, and toys, or it may go to cover medical costs, microchipping, or parasite preventative needs.” READ STORY>>
