Owner & Founder
Traci Bisson, owner of It Takes a Village Pet Care, loves animals and has been around them all her life. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire where she studied wildlife management and business. In college, she worked for two veterinary hospitals providing pet care and assisting in surgery, as well as at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) research facility in Brentwood where they raised deer, coyotes and turkey.
An active participant in her community, Traci believes that change starts with each and every one of us. She serves on the Board of the Barrington Public Library Trustees and Library Foundation, helping the organizations raise funds to build a new library.
Traci is a Master Gardener and a certified Permaculturist. She is also a member of the 2017 Leadership NH class. In March 2018, she began teaching an online course for UNH on Social Permaculture: The Art of Building Community & Relationships.
Traci lives on 5 acres in Barrington, NH with her family, including 3 humans, 2 dogs, 2 cats and chickens, living a sustainable lifestyle and continually looking for ways to decrease her carbon footprint.
Traci relaxes with her senior cat Sassy at their home in Barrington.
